Random Partitions in Mathematics and Physics
Lectures by Andrei Okounkov (Columbia University) and Vadim Gorin (MIT)

The Andrejewski Day is an annual one-day workshop aiming to further improve the scientific exchange between mathematics and theoretical physics. This year's topic, "Random Partitions in Mathematics and Physics", combines stochastics, representation theory, enumerative geometry, high energy physics and condensed matter physics. The two speakers Andrei Okounkov (Columbia University) and Vadim Gorin (MIT) are leading scientists on random partitions.

We explicitly encourage young researchers such as PhD students and PostDocs to participate.
