In this talk, we discuss the contact-type property of the planar circular restricted three-body problem. It was previously proved by Albers-Frauenfelder-van Koert-Paternain that the (regularized) bounded components are of contact type for energies below and slightly above the first critical value. We extend this result to energies up to the second critical value, provided that the two primaries have the same mass. If time permits, we also discuss shortly the presence of periodic orbits and consecutive collision orbits. Based on joint work with Kevin Ruck.
