»Bifurcation Dynamics in the \Phi^4_2 Equation«

Abstract:
This talk examines how noise and renormalisation affect bifurcation phenomena in the \Phi^4_2 model. First, we show that renormalisation destroys a deterministic pitchfork bifurcation. Linearizing the SPDE reveals that its finite-time Lyapunov exponents span the entire real line. Second, to capture the dynamics near the bifurcation, we establish approximation results for the \Phi^4_2 equation via amplitude equations.
