»Applications of D’Agnolo-Kashiwara’s Riemann-Hilbert correspondence II: Solution complexes and characteristic cycles«

Abstract:
This talk is an exposition of the first part of our preprint, “On Characteristic Cycles of Irregular Holonomic D-Modules,” joint with Kiyoshi Takeuchi (Tohoku University). Based on the formalism of enhanced ind-sheaves and D’Agnolo-Kashiwara’s Riemann–Hilbert correspondence, we calculate the (classical) solution complexes and characteristic cycles of holonomic D-modules with quasi-normal form in the sense of Mochizuki. In the course of these calculations, the sheafification functor, which is the counterpart in the theory of enhanced ind-sheaves of the regularization functor for holonomic D-modules, plays an important role. As a corollary, we also obtain a formula for the global Euler-Poincaré index of algebraic meromorphic connections. In this talk, we will explain the proofs of our results and present some examples of characteristic cycles of irregular holonomic D-modules. If time permits, we will also give an exposition of the second part of our preprint.

Hierzu ergeht herzliche Einladung.
