»Discrete-to-Continuum Limits of the Wave Equation on Time-Dependent Domains«

Abstract:
In this talk, we explore the 1D wave equation with Dirichlet conditions on a time-dependent domain. We then show that a nearest-neighbour atomistic chain converges to the continuum solution under the assumption that the boundary is moving with uniform motion.
