| In this talk, I will discuss a singular limit (with application to tissue growth) that connects density-based descriptions with free-boundary descriptions of Hele-Shaw type. I will begin with a brief overview of the biological motivation, historical flashback, and the mathematical framework underpinning such descriptions. The core of the talk will then outline the key ideas behind a new proof strategy that avoids (a) the kinetic reformulation and (b) the need for L^\infty bounds, relying instead on an L^2-based compactness theory inspired by propagation of nonlocal compactness. The final part will focus a little deeper on several analytical subtleties of the limit process. |
