| Abstract: |
| We investigate a two-scale model with moving boundaries motivated by phase transitions in steel production. The underlying growth and shrinkage are characterized using the Hanzawa transformation. By employing a fixed-point argument, we demonstrate that the problem is well-posed. The stability of a precomputing scheme, which shifts the computation of effective parameters to an offline phase, is established by exploiting the properties of the Hanzawa transformation. To further accelerate the numerical simulations, we propose and study a coupled finite element–deep learning algorithm, in which the two-scale functions are approximated by a deep learning surrogate. |
