»Big fibre theorems«

Abstract:
I will give a brief overview of big fibre theorems, in particular Karasev's center point theorem, Gromov's torus theorem, and the Entov-Polterovich non-displaceable fibre theorem. Then, I will mention our recent result in contact geometry that fits well in the framework of big fibre theorems. This talk is based on joint work with Yuhan Sun and Umut Varolgunes.
