»Sigma-convergence for thin heterogeneous domains and application to the upscaling of Darcy-Lapwood-Brinkmann flow«

Abstract:
The aim of the presentation is twofold: 1) Build a framework enabling the study of physical/natural phenomena occurring in thin heterogeneous media by taking into account the distribution of heterogeneities inside the thin layer; 2) Apply the results obtained in the first part 1) to upscale a double porosity model, viz. a Darcy-Lapwood-Brinkmann flow occurring in thin heterogeneous domains.
