»Full exceptional collections for homogeneous varieties«

Abstract:
It is conjectured that all rational homogeneous varieties admit a full exceptional collection of vector bundles, i.e. their derived categories of coherent sheaves are generated by a finite list of vector bundles. In the first part of the talk I will review the notion of full exceptional collection, and I will describe the state of the art of the problem. Then, I will review the approach of Kuznetsov-Polishchuk for constructing exceptional collections on homogeneous varieties, and I will show that such approach, in the case of the spinor tenfold, produces a full exceptional collection (joint work with Riccardo Moschetti). In the last part of the talk, I will discuss some possible approaches to produce full exceptional collections for homogeneous varieties.
