»Complex structures on hyperbolic manifolds«

Abstract:
I will discuss existence and non-existence of complex structures on closed hyperbolic manifolds of even dimension at least four. Conjecturally, almost complex structures always exist after passing to a suitable finite covering space. The main point of the talk is to confirm this conjecture in many cases. I will then discuss the question of integrability, which is settled in dimension four,but is completely open in higher dimensions
