»Codimension one foliations on some homogeneous spaces«

Abstract:
In this talk I will present a joint work with Daniele Faenzi and Alan Muniz on the variety of codimension one foliations on some rational homogeneous varieties. The (historical) example that will lead the way is that of the projective space: in this case, Jouanolou has shown that every foliation of minimal degree and codimension one is obtained as the fibers of a linear projection from P^n to P^1. Thus the corresponding variety parametrizing these foliations is just a Grassmannian. We will extend this result to a certain class of homogeneous varieties called cominuscule Grassmannians (among which appear the "usual" Grassmannians). This will be done by using equivariant techniques and by restricting the foliations from P^n to the cominuscule Grassmannians.
