Abstract: |
After a quick introduction to the geometry basics, we recall the
invariants $J^+$ and $J^-$ from Vladimir Arnold and their properties, as
well as Viro's formula to compute their value of any immersion easily,
which we will then use to prove results about the behavior of $J^+$
under bifurcations. The proofs need little preparations and can then be
done with a neat visual argument around the features of bifurcations of
immersions. With the main work done, we then apply the results to the
invariants $\mathcal{J}_1$ and $\mathcal{J}_2$, which are closely
related to $J^+$ and were introduced by Cieliebak, Frauenfelder and van
Koert, which leads to some similar results and some special cases with
interesting properties.
