»Floer-Novikov Cohomology and its Applications«

Abstract:
Symplectic Floer Cohomology is a tool created, among other porposes, to deal with the Arnold conjecture, i.e. to count the number of xed points of a symplectomorphism. Around 2006, Ono managed to use a modi cation of this theory to prove the (C1) Flux Conjecture. In this talk, after a few preliminaries on the origin of the Arnold and the Flux conjectures, the Floer- Novikov cohomology will be presented, and its use in the proof of the (C1) Flux Conjecture will be explained.
