»The Derrida-Retaux recursive system«

Abstract:
The Derrida-Retaux recursive system was originally introduced in statistical physics as a toy model for hierarchical renormalisation systems. It brings in a number of very simple mathematical questions, most of which remain unanswered. I am going to make elementary discussions on some of the questions.
