»A new regularization functional for image denoising and upscaling problems.«

Abstract:
In this talk a new regularization functional is introduced for image processing problems. Most of image processing tasks such as denoising and upscaling can be modeled via the proposed functional. The model is based on a variational approach which can be formulated by a convex minimization problem. A dual formulation for the proposed optimization problem is explained and an efficient primal-dual algorithm is employed to solve the problem. Some important image test problems are used in our numerical experiments.
