»Self-attracting reinforced motion: stochastic many particle systems and their limiting behavior«

Abstract:
Lattice models and non-discrete models for self-attracting reinforced stochastic motion and their limiting behavior are analyzed. The limiting models are non-linear partial differential equations, whose qualitative behavior is discussed and set into context with the related particle systems. Applications are, among others in biology, namely self-organizing microorganisms, which aggregate for survival and do so by self-produced attractive signals.
