»The Nonlinear Schrödinger and the Korteweg-de Vries Equation: Dynamics, PDE and Integrability«

Abstract:
The nonlinear Schrödinger and the Korteweg-De Vries equation are partial differential equation with a very rich structure: They are Hamiltonian differential equation accessible via tools from PDEs and inverse scattering. I will explain recent progress using the integrable structure with a perspective from differential equations, in particular the construction of new energies, low regularity solutions and the stability of solitons.
