»An interesting family of periodic orbits for the three-dimensional lunar problem«

Abstract:
In this joint work with Urs Frauenfelder and Otto van Koerk, a family F of three dimensional periodic orbits about the smaller primary in the three-body problem are proven to exist. They are continuations from consecutive collision orbits on the z-axis. Their behavior is numerically explored. The global bridge properties of F are theoretically analyzed. They have possible intriguing applications to space missions. (A paper on this was published earlier this year.)
