»Growth rates of unbounded orbits in non-periodic twist maps and a theorem by Neishtadt«

Abstract:
We consider non-periodic analytic twist maps, in particular the Fermi-Ulam ping pong map, and ask what is the worst possible rate for "escape to infinity" along an orbit? This escape rate is determined and an example is given that our result is optimal.
