»The big infinitesimal topos as a classifying topos «

Abstract:
Every topos classifies some geometric theory. However, for a given topos, it can be difficult to find a classified theory which can be described in simple terms -- like for example the theory of local K-algebras, which is classified by the big Zariski topos over Spec K. This problem will be solved for the big infinitesimal topos over affine schemes in the talk. As a crucial tool, theories of presheaf type will be used, as they allow for a simple description of the classifying topos in terms of their finitely presented models.
