»Toward a classification of semi-toric systems «

Abstract:
The classification of integrable systems is a great and difficult task, but notable progress has been made over the past 25 years. In 1982, Atiyah, and Guillemin & Sternberg showed that for integrable systems such that each first integral yield a global circle action (the so called “toric integrable systems”), the image of the moment map is a rational convex polytope. In 1987, Delzant showed that, this polytope is enough to classify the systems up to equivariant symplectomorphism. One of the many extension of the toric case is when one allow so-called “focus-focus” singularities, which in turn prevent existence of some of the circle actions. For these so called “semi-toric systems”, the image of the moment map is not a convex polytope, nor does is it enough to classify the systems. In my talk I will discuss what sort of classification we can recover, and my contributions to it.
