»K3 surfaces and special divisors on algebraic curves«

Abstract:
After recalling some fundamental facts from the theory of special divisors on algebraic curves, we focus on curves on K3 surfaces and properties of Lazarsfeld-Mukai vector bundles. We present a couple of results concerning explicit computations of the gonality and the Clifford index of curves lying on some special classes of K3 surfaces carrying some rich geometric structure, such as automorphisms. It is my intention that the lecture, or at least most of it, shall be accessible to students with a basic understanding of algebraic geometry.
