»Homological mirror functors via counting polygons«

Abstract:
We explain a construction of a homological mirror symmetry functor using a formal deformation theory of a Lagrangian L in a symplectic manifold. Main feature of this formalism is that once it is set up, it provides canonical (and geometric) way to transform Lagrangians in a symplectic manifold to Matrix factorizations of a mirror potential function W(L). We illustrate this in an elliptic curve quotient example, where counting polygons cut out by a curve L' provides the corresponding matrix factorizations of the mirror polynomial. If time permits, we will explain a non-commutative generalization of the functor to non-commutative Landau-Ginzburg models. This is based on joint works with Hansol Hong and Siu-Cheong Lau.
