Abstract: |
Calabi-Yau manifolds are Kähler manifolds with a holomorphic volume form. The equivalence of the A- and the B-model of topological string theory predicts the existence of so-called mirror pairs of Calabi-Yau manifolds. In the case when both Calabi-Yau manifolds are closed, this leads to the striking conjecture that the count of rational curves in each of two Calabi-Yau manifolds (more precisely, their Gromov-Witten invariants) can be explicitly computed using the (extended) deformation theory of complex structures on its mirror Calabi-Yau manifold. In my talk I will show how this classical mirror symmetry conjecture generalizes to the case of open Calabi-Yau manifolds. |
Hierzu ergeht herzliche Einladung. |
