| Abstract: |
| The classification of compact Riemannian manifolds with non-negative or positive sectional curvature is a notoriously difficult problem. One approach which has been quite successful is to assume that there is a torus of large rank acting effectively and isometrically on the manifold. In particular, in low dimensions this has led to a complete classification of the possible diffeomorphism types which can arise. Given a manifold on this list, it is then natural to try to determine all possible torus actions which can arise, up to equivariant diffeomorphism. In this talk I will discuss joint work with Fernando Galaz-Garcia, where we give an explicit solution to this problem. |
