»A Gamma structure for the Lagrangian Grassmannian«

Abstract:
This is joint work with Peter Albers. The notion of Gamma manifold was introduced by Hopf. This is a manifold which admits a smooth multiplication with the following property. Plugging in a point in the product from the right the degree of the corresponding map from the manifold to itself has nonvanishing degree and the same is true by plugging in a point from the left. We show that the Lagrangian Grassmannian admits such a structure.
