Abstract: |
Symplectic vortices (on a surface $\Sigma$) generalise pseudoholomorphic curves to an equivariant setting: the target manifold $X$ is equipped with a Hamiltonian group action, and one needs to take gauge symmetry into account. The relevant moduli spaces support interesting Kähler metrics $g_{L^2}$, which encode information about underlying classical and quantum field theories. For a compact target $X$, the moduli spaces are typically noncompact. My talk will cover recent results on the asymptotic behaviour of the metrics $g_{L^2}$ at the boundaries, in concrete examples. I will also illustrate some implications of such results for the field theories. |
Hierzu ergeht herzliche Einladung. |
