»Structure function and energy dissipation for a dyadic model of turbulence«

Abstract:
Dyadic models for turbulence provide a simplified description of the turbulent energy cascade of three-dimensional Euler equation for fluids. In this talk I will introduce a generalization of the original tree-indexed dyadic model by Katz and Pavlović, and discuss some of its interesting properties, in particular concerning the phenomenon of (anomalous) energy dissipation and the structure function with its connection to intermittency.
