»Pin bordism in low degrees of classifying spaces«

Abstract:
From a geometric viewpoint, bordisms are the most natural homology theory. But bordism groups are hard to compute since they do not satisfy the dimension axiom. I will calculate the first five Pin bordism groups of certain classifying spaces to answer a question by Edward Witten. First, I will describe general Pin bordisms in terms of Spin bordisms, this helps to compute the desired Pin bordism groups. Furthermore, I will give geometric representatives of their generators.
